share your reaction after reading CoC and ISoCF
by suavojr inafter reading coc and isocf i cried, i was in shock, disillusioned, angry, and afraid... anyone wants to share their experience?.
i would like to see what you think about these questions when compared with your account.. why people from different backgrounds feel similar reactions?
(cannot be a conpiracy).

Those two books were life changing for me. The society had always said that "apostates" were hateful and spewed out half truths and lies. They were accused of "beating" their former brothers. Ray was the exact opposite of all those charges. He did not denigrate the WT, he did not spew out lies and hate. He used the bible, and the societies own words to show their errors.
There is a reason that Brooklyn does not want anyone reading CoC or ISoCF, because anyone reading these two books can not remain in the organization and be honest to themselves. Period.
On another note, I am not pointing fingers at those who do lie about the borg or tell half truths, I understand the anger almost hate that you can feel when you found out that you have been lied to all your life about the most important part of your life. It sucks. However I truely believe that if you really want to hurt the BORG the best most productive method is to follow the example set both in these books and on Pauls site JWFacts.com.

I can see the Borg spinning this to be the beginning of the politics turning on Babylon the Great. They will use this to amp up the fear factor and try to scare the sheep.

[He was baptized, served as a Ministerial Servant, and was even married in a Kingdom Hall.]Does anyone know if he indeed was a M.S.. If so was he still an MS when he was married in the hall, and was he still an MS when he murdered Whitney?
Any proof that he was a regular publisher? I would love to know, especially if he is an MS. I will ask my wife if the HS appointed him.

According to the link below the stock exchange is not as important as it used to be. Most trading is now done digitally from various locations that are dispursed widely.

Need Advice. Quick.
by AwSnap ini apologize for being absent for so long.
i've got a jw at my house right now (unexpectedly) who is talking to my husband.
he keeps on bringing up that only jw's have universal love....that if you go anywhere in the world, you can mention you're a witness & you'll automatically be welcomed and accepted by fellow jw's.

Tell the JW that choice of religion in a serious matter. Tell him you have read on the internet accusations that the JW's are a high control group. Tell him you certainly don't believe everything you read on the net, however since it is such a crucial matter to your familys sprituality you wonder if he might come back another night (after giving you some time to research) and at least answer any 10 questions you might have about his group. If he has the truth he should not be worried about questions. If he does not or if it is a cult that won't let him think for himself it will be a problem. Tell your husband to make the guy ask the questions.
I don't buy a car without looking to consumer reports to see the reliablity records. I have interviewed every teacher that my daughter has ever used. I interviewed (and dismissed) potential doctors for my daughter. I read reviews of books before I buy on Amazon.com. There is no way I would ever talk to anyone about religion again without knowing more about what they believe then they do before the conversation ever started. The JW's will NOT want someone who actually follows the example of the Boreans.
The real problem is that many many witnesses are actually truly very nice people. The guy at your house right now may be a nice person. He may be actually living his life as a Christian. But doctrine does matter. Truth matters. The truth of the matter is that the ORG is like a dead fish, it stinks from the head. I really don't have a problem with most of the witnesses I know, they are nice people. If the GB would allow them to contribute to the Salvation Army, or the Red Cross they would do it in a second. They would love to help elderly people, to help in any kind of volunteer work (ie. soup kitchens, shelters, habitat for humanity) but they are not allowed. Their form of "giving" is going door to door. It really is too bad. It is sad. It is maddening. -

Maybe this is a way to get a Witness to use CRITICAL THINKING ?
by raymond frantz ini have been trying recently different ways to get fellow witnesses to use their thinking faculties ,one that seems to work is the following :.
"would you believe in the trinity if the governing body told you to ?
because it is not in the bible .

I think that is an excellent point. I will be using it. Thanks!

The Mormons take care of thier elderly financially. JW's, not so much. JW's show love to people that are new to the congregation and who are studying. Some congregations are warmer than others. Some actually are very loving, others are cold as ice. None of them are loving at all if you don't agree that the GB is God's sole channel of communication to all mankind. If you research the background of their teachings and have a honest disagreement based on FACTS, try bringing that up and find out how loved you really are.
